Spring has sprung and so have my senior sessions!  I love love LOVE my senior girls and Hanna's session last month did not disappoint.

Hanna is a senior at Richland High School in North Richland Hills, TX.  I met her and her mom shortly before winter break to go over session details.  As with all of my girls, I like to get a better understanding on their personality and interests to convey in the photoshoot.  Afterall, we are captureing this moment in your life and we want these photos to reflect your true personality.

Hanna works in a clothing store so I knew she would not only shared my love of fashion but also have some ideas brewing about her session.  Sometimes if there is question about what to wear, I ask about the type of location(s) she's considering.

Conversation (loosely) went like this...

Me: So, did you have any ideas in terms of locations?

Hanna:  I definitely want flowers and greenery.

Me: Okay great!  What else.

H: Well, I hang out at Billy Bobs on the weekend so maybe the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Me: Awesome!  Love the stockyards!  You can wear cowboy boots and a dress.  This will be fun!

H: And sometimes, me and my friends go this abandoned warehouse around the corner.  It's filled with graffiti and you can see the Fort Worth Skyline.

My Mouth: That sounds awesome!"

My head: OMG we are going to get arrested!

Okay, so I am somewhat of a rule follower.  Don't get me wrong, I had my fair share of antics as a teenage but in my teenage mind, it didn't count because I didn't get caught (Teenagers reading this: it totally counts!).  My adult self has turned a little more into straight and narrow.  I don't jaywalk, speed, and if I sneak food in the movie theater, you better believe my purse is channeling Mary Poppins's weekender bag. Despite all of that, my artist brain knew it was going to look really REALLY cool!

Finalizing outfits, we met at my favorite boutique Kiki La Rue to pick out her outfit for The Fort Worth Botanical Garden.  We fell in love with a salmon colored cocktail dress and chose a croched cardigan to drape over it.

We then went a lil more country and headed to the Stockyards.  I love the rustic archietectual features here.  Check out the galvanized wall.

Our next stop was the infamous wearhouse.  We had to climb under a fence, walk up a unpaved hill, around rubble and caving in floors, and throw narrow stairs.  By Oh.My.Goodness it was amazing!

I really felt like Hanna's true personality came out during these shots.  She's a sweet and respectful soul but she has an edge to her that nothing is going to stand in her way.

It was an awesome session and exactly the reason why I love getting to know my girls before their shoot.  These photos are going to remind Hanna of the days of her youth when she was young and care free and also show the woman she's becoming.

I wish you nothing but the best Hanna!  Wherever your path may take you, you are going to accomplish amazing things!
